Its Getting Better....

"Its gettin better all the time...."  - - That lyric would be fitting about now.

Yes things are some what better. My meeting was great today and I have another one tomorrow. I'll also get to meet with people at Elon so I can get things planned for this fall. Two objectives down one to go (Get A Job)

I decided to post some more pictures from the cruise - various people we met.

The Rare Birds

Above is our trivia group.  Left to Right: Dad, Hannah, Me, Jim, Susan, Helen, and Mom - We are the rare birds because of an incident on one of our shore excursions. We were in the Shetland Islands on a bird watching tour. Half way though the tour our driver-guide stopped the buss and yelled though the mike "Raaar Baaed" that's Rare Bird in crazy Scots/Shetland/Old English talk.  He told us that he thought he saw a Black Beaked, White Winged, Black Tystie - "that's little back bird" but that it could be the even rarer Black Beaked, White Winged, Spotted Black Tystie but he wasn't sure. So told us he was going to find out. Before we knew it he had jumped off the buss and was running though the field towards the bird. The driver proceeded to chase this bird around a pond. Twenty minutes later he reappeared out of breath and total ecstatic. It was indeed a Raar Baaed! It was non-other than a true Black Beaked, White Winged, Spotted Black Tystie! He then called his best friend Dave and told him about it. Then he called Jim, and Bill but not before he called two other people. The driver then realized we were running 30min behind schedule. On the way back to the ship we saw all of his bird-watchin-buddies pass us and he even stopped the buss so he could talk to them. We finale reached the ship and still had time to explore Lerwick. Mom and Dad went into a store and the cashier asked them "oh, where you just on the tour, the one that saw the raar baaed, the Black Beaked, White Winged, Spotted Black Tystie?!!!" needless to say the whole town now knew about the Rare Bird!  We think it was probably on the front page of their paper the next morning.  After an encounter like that we truly did feel like Rare Birds - so that's how we came up with our trivia name!

Helen and Richard Shaw from Australia!  A truly wonderful couple. We met Helen playing trivia one day. The question was "what's another name of the kooks burra bird of Australia?"  Dad, Mom, and I were not having any luck and we began to look around the room. I glanced by  Helen sitting across from us and she mouthed to me "Jack Ass." I thought that woman just cursed me! I told Dad and Mom what had happened and it clicked in our heads - so we wrote for the answer "Jack Ass" After we did we coaxed Helen into joining our team - she proved to be a very valuable member. However she got the question wrong. Its known as the "Lafughing Jack Ass" - when Helen found out she responded with "oi!!! I should a known - I feed those buggers every day in my back yard!"

The last night of the cruise Helen and Richard asked us to dine with them. We only wish we hadn't waited until the last night. They stayed on the ship for the next cruise a total of 24 Nights!

Another day... not as planed.

Yes, today was another day not as I had planned it. God must be telling me not to plan any aspect of my life cause it will fall apart.

So I go to see her today and well I screwed up on the time. I was there at 11 and was supposed to be there at 1. My cell wasn't working so I couldn't confirm.

I went back to the apt and naped. The rest of the day was spent on the merry-go-round "and I actual thought I was going to get off of it today" - oh well.....

I have another meeting scheduled with her for tomorrow at 10am. Lets hope I make it..........

My New Home

A just bought a new house - I purchased it while I was in Scottland. Its original name was Donrobin Castle yet I like the sound of the Talmadge Estate better. As soon as I rap up calsses this fall I will be permanity relocating there. Once I get settled in I'd love to have people come vist. I'll now accepting reservations so just email and we will set things up.  Hopefully I'll be able to operate Golden Sea Cruises from there. I'd also like to work out living there and being governer of NC at the same time. Only time will tell.

Proof.... for the skeptics out there!

Proof That The Widdowsons Did Go To Europe! Posted by Hello

As you can see the pictures are finished and if you would like to see them, email me I'll send you the link - I'm sure they will gradually find their way on here.

Things are going well. The job hunt is on full throttle and no one in the Burlington area seems to be hiring. But...... My Apartment Is Clean!!!!       Yes its spotless - thanks to two special people (Mom & Dad) who helped me get it back into livable conditions.  All that's left to fix is this blasted computer - I cant use any of the Microsoft Office programs or functions. I will attempt to have that in order by Friday.

Other than that things are still on the merry-go-round. Waiting idle until the start of classes. I'll keep optimistic and do what I do best...........

This is so boring!

Well here I am - Burlington aka BORington.  Over a thousand miles away from where I planed to be at this point in my life - and they wouldn't have said if if it wasn't true but "The Best Layed Plans Of Mice And Men Do Often Go Astray" and thats exactly whats happned to me.

Yet - if you do know anything about me its that I wont let that get me down. I CROOZMAN still have many life ambitions and I will continue to live to the motto "I Can And Will Have Any Thing I Want."  I need to vent these negative thoughts but I need to also get my mind on other things.

Thus, I have been job hunting this week. Calling around to all my agency contacts and trying to set up an in home call center. That means I would be networked to a corporate office and be allowed to sell cruises via their 1-800 number. Bringing in money while doing what I like to do best.  Other options might be working as leasing agent for a local apt complex.

Also, to get my mind off of the depressing idea of returning to Elon in the fall I've begun planning a cruise for next year - who knows if we will even go on it but its something optimistic thats about the only thing getting me though the day.

This crappy computer is still not working right and I'm going to have to reformat it for the 6th time. Lots of work there involving my digital pics and cruise info. So thats whats delaying the offical cruise report. To give a hint of whats to come I'll quote Hannah - We had just begun dinner when the waiter approached and said here are special appitisers from the cheif - I took one bight and put my fork down imeaditly to see the reaction of Mom, Dad, and Hannah. Hannah said it best "My patie has a first name its O-S-C-A-R my patie has a second name its M-A-Y-E-R!" Yes the patie taisted like purred hotdog.

Other developments are I've just finished the 3rd book in the Harry Potter series. I'm hooked and cant wait to get home to steal the 4th one from Hannah. I'll go home early tomorrow just to get a start on it. Hannah goes to band camp next week and mom and dad are comming by the apt after they dropp her off in GSO (over my dead body) this apt is a mess - I'm going to have to hier Merry Maids to come clean it for me.

All in all things are just sorta blah.... I hate merry go rounds. The thought of classes again this fall makes me want to throw up.... but I've got to do it and I will so I can get off this Merry Go Round known as Elon Univeristy and hit the real world - like all my friends have........

PS: wernt the spelling errors just horrable ! ;-)

I'm Still Alive

Yes I'm still Bloging - the past few weeks have been back and forth between home and elon. So now I'm back at elon looking for a pt job. Hopefully I can do online cruise consulting - but we'll wait and see.

As for the cruise update I promised you, its taking much longer than expected. Way to many bugs to work out before I can official post the pics.

Things are well and to those who have been in the loop - yes I will be spending another semester at elon. I'll survive and life will move on eventually.

I'll keep you up dated in the mean time on normal stuff - until then.....
